There is a difference between merely thinking about God continually and actually meditating with him. It’s easy to be somewhere and think about God. God should always be in our minds. When we merely think about God we control the situation. When we meditate, we allow God to take control of the situation and instruct us as to his purpose. Moses’ trip up Mt. Sinai was an act of meditation. He let God do all the talking. For 40 days God spoke all his directives to Moses. Imagine how great it must be to hear God’s voice speaking directly to us. We have to do more than think about God, though, to hear Him. We have to commune with him. What would we come back with from our “Mt. Sinai moment?”
