Really good friends are ones we can rely on to dump our inner-most thoughts, trials, concerns, and even angers on with no loss of respect. God is no different. In fact, he’s the ultimate friend. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13, NLT). We can call a good friend at any time for advice and help. God is no different. In fact, he has no voice mail or busy signal because he always picks up the line! Good friends also don’t judge us for pouring out our emotions, even if they lead to non-threatening disagreements.

God is no different. In fact, there are countless occasions throughout the Bible when great people of God — like David, Moses, and Jonah — challenged God and he held no grudge. David questioned God’s timing, or what he thought was a lack of timing, quite often. Moses questioned God’s plan for him. Jonah, of course, questioned so much that he completely fled in the opposite direction. Open up to God and experience his blessings. Allow Him to take us, break us, make us, lead us, and use us!
